Eco Schools

This term The Eco work we have done has related to biodiversity within the school grounds. We have weeded and prepared our pollinator and herb beds for winter. We have used waste wood-chip from council tree felling to insulate the beds for the hard frost of winter.

As always we have kept up with our other horticulture projects and pupils have helped make our Christmas wreaths for the enterprise fayre.

Additionally we have also started a tree planting project with EMS and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. On the 21st of November Gold Class helped to plant 20-40 young trees. You can find the new trees along the path to the primary site. We also started to make Habitat stacks with the rangers from the Humber Bridge Country Park.
